    About Mark
    Mark Wildes, author of “To Yesterday,” was born and raised in North Carolina and received his Ph.D. in medical science, studying cancer cell biology. A lover of music, science, winemaking, and playing Latin percussion, he has been writing since he was fourteen years old; he is twenty-nine, and currently writing his fifth novel. His previous works – prior to his debut novel, “To Yesterday” – were suspense thrillers, but wound up segueing into contemporary fiction and love stories when he placed into context that all of his thrillers ended with a love story. He quotes, “Things haven’t really changed much. It’s just that my reasons for writing have developed into something I think people can take home with them, so to speak. It’s a memory of a character and their life, and their love, and their reasons for living, like mine: a love of life.” Wildes’ figured out that there was a place for him in writing love stories after writers like Nicholas Sparks, Nicholas Evans, and Kirk Martin proved to the world that passion still exists in this day and age, and people crave the escape.
